The Music Icon Plays a Hell Version of Herself in Satirical Film Preview
The celebrated musician is getting ready for a substantial big screen presence in 2026, kicking off with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Throughout the movie, the artist embodies what she refers to as a twisted version of her own persona.
It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever encountered, the star remarked.
She further explained in an interview: It’s far from a live performance documentary, but the idea came from the pressure to produce one.
A Sneak Peek into The Film
The first teaser, released on this week, combines actual recordings from Charli’s Sweat tour with imagined behind-the-scenes moments.
The Moment is helmed and co-scripted by the director, who revealed that the story centers on a scenario where the artist made entirely different choices in the publicity of her hugely successful record Brat.

A Busy Film Calendar
The mockumentary is a single one of several forthcoming movie projects for Charli, who has starred in three independent movies this year.

What’s Next
Next year will also include Charli alongside Olivia Wilde in sensual story I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in gallery suspense The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in terror reimagining Faces of Death.
Additionally, she joined to appear in Dakota Johnson’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.
I am really enjoying my cinematic path, Charli stated. I feel very, very inspired right now in this area, and I only ever want to do projects that excite me.

February will also bring the release of the director’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include original songs from the singer.
She is also set to compose the score for the drama Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release in the coming year.
The Moment is set to premiere on January 30.
