One-time NFL Star Antonio Brown Files Not Guilty Plea in Murder Attempt Case
Former NFL star Antonio Brown is traveling to Miami to confront an attempted murder allegation stemming from a incident that occurred in May, as his lawyer entering a innocent plea on his behalf.
Correctional documents in Essex County, New Jersey, reveal that Brown was released on Tuesday early for his move to Florida. Brown, a highly popular players in the National Football League, had forgone transfer to Florida from New Jersey, in which he was detained after being taken into custody in the city of Dubai.
Brownâs lawyer, Mark Eiglarsh, stated in an email that he has already lodged a written not guilty plea to the attempted murder allegation. Brown could be in a Miami court as early as Wednesday morning for a bail proceeding, Eiglarsh said.
As per his arrest document, Brown is charged of grabbing a firearm from a security employee after a celebrity fighting bout in May and shooting a couple of shots at a individual he had confronted with earlier. A level two attempted murder charge in Florida bears a maximum 15-year incarceration sentence and up to a ten thousand dollar penalty in the instance of a conviction.
Brown has dealt with multiple court issues over the time. He before had been charged of battery of a truck driver, several family violence charges, failure to pay family payments and other events.
