David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles combined, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
