Chelsea defender in action

Trevoh Chalobah emulated his brother Nathaniel in representing England, emerging as the 21st duo of brothers to earn caps for the England side.

Trevoh Chalobah is set to link up with the England squad to cover for unavailable Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

The national side have already qualified for next summer's tournament.

Chalobah received his initial invitation under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in May and then earned his first cap against the Senegalese team.

In September, Tuchel remarked Chalobah was unfortunate to be left out from the selection for qualifying games against Andorra and Serbia, and also did not select him for the next October fixtures.

Tuchel has been an key presence in Chalobah's career, having awarded him his Chelsea first appearance in 2021.

Chalobah has appeared in almost every games for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the team third in the Premier League, in the Carabao Cup last eight and in the league phase of the Champions League.

Guehi picked up a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League success over AZ Alkmaar in their last match.

There are expected to be additional call-ups to the squad. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has confirmed that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and goalkeeper Nick Pope (a concussion) are set to pull out from the England setup.
