British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

Joshua had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, his management team confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” Omotosho said.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

His release from the hospital arrives after the boxing community shared sympathy for the champion in the wake of the terrible crash.
